Anyone have any inside information on him?

not what Texas sites are saying:

White says that his mother, once considered to favor the Longhorns, really likes Oklahoma ($) at this point (possibly because of the closer proximity to Fort Worth), meaning that Oklahoma may now be the favorite. The fact that Oklahoma is recruiting both of his teammates (Sander and Favors) is no doubt helping to sway White, who also reportedly says that he likes the fact that OU always has good quarterbacks (and the last terrible quarterback to play consistently at Texas was?).
So it now appears that both his mother, thought to be the major key in his recruitment, and his teammates, who certainly have a strong influence on White, are now in the corner of the Sooners. I mentioned this in my last Afternoon Brewsky, and I'll say it again for what will hopefully be the last time, but it is extremely unlikely that the Longhorns will pursue Rashod Favors -- it's just not worth talking about right now unless something changes. If White is going to swing back towards the Longhorns, it's almost undoubtedly going to be without any chance for him to play with his high school teammates in college.

This is true. It seems with each passing day Darius becomes closer and closer to pulling the trigger for OU. And yes that really sucks because he is an absolute badass and was 100% Texas not all that long ago.

Roughneck,
Thanks for coming to verify what I was able to find. I appreciate when you come set the record straight whether it is by confirming or correcting something I posted about Texas recruiting.
It sucks that White is thinking OU. I know some Texas fans probably get annoyed with LSU recruiting a lot of Texas kids but compared to OU we do little harm to Texas' efforts. OU literally couldn't field a team without Texas recruits. Eleven of their 23 2009 recruits are from Texas and only five are from Oklahoma. LINK
It is just crazy that a team that has had all their success has to raid another state for that amount of talent.

No problem. Actually nice to get a little recruiting perspective away from Orangebloods.
And yes, OU going head-to-head with us on pretty much everyone of our major recruits does suck. Hard! But if it wasn't them it would be A&M or LSU or Arkansas, etc. Just the nature of the business so I don't get too worked up about it. Until the second saturday of October that is when we have to share the Texas Fairgrounds with those douchebags from North of the Red River.

Here's a video of him and what he says about OU and UT. You judge for yourselves. Darius White

Yep. Just sucks that the rules don't prevent schools from only relying on their in-state talent.
What sucks more is an out-of-state school using your in-state talent to later beat you.

That's weird, Texas doesn't have anybody from Oklahoman on roster....

Texas has 5 times the population of Oklahoma and even with OU, Tech, Aggies, even LSU, nipping at their heels, the Longhorns get about 80% of the kids they really want. They are THE University in a large state
Of all the major players in College Football, FL, LSU, Bama, tOSU, Texas, USC and maybe a few others, OU is the smallest school and in the state with the least population.
It sure seems to me that the two easiest places to recruit in the country are Texas and USC. Why would they waste their time romancing a kid from Oklahoma. They don't have kids from Oklahoma, but they don't have kids from any other state either. Texas assistant coaches have it made.

Texas boards in meltdown yet? least they have a few months to come to grips with it instead of National signing day shock(or the day after right daddy?).

they melt down at the sight of his new article.
hell, tx isn't even in his top 3.
