I am one of those Keiland Williams fans, but i wanted to get the Rants opinion on this coming season.

Do you see a similar role as last year?
Or do you see Keiland getting more carries, like 50/50 with Scott?

or is this a dumb question....

that Charles Scott is one of the top running backs in college football would probably be the biggest reason.

I think Williams will get a few more carries per game than he did last year. But Scott is still the work horse! More like 75-25 Scott.

He needs to hold on to the ball too!

Keiland Williams will shine if CS goes down to injury...not saying I hope that happens. But, had KW gotten the carries out of the I-formation that CS got last year he might well have had 1300 yards rushing.
The guy is not a bruising style of running back, but he certainly would have benefited from running by Quinn Johnson 70% of the time. Instead, he got to run out of one back sets and the shotgun most of the time.
I love our top two guys...they are both easily capable of rushing for 1000 yards this year.

should be fun to watch...

How many times has Keiland ever fumbled the ball in game? This has to be one of the biggest misconceptions I have seen on the Rant.

I think he'll get some more carries than last year, and his stats will be a little better. I am cautiously guessing that he gets about 650 yards with a 5.5 YPC average.

Would love to see more of him and Chuck the Truck in the backfield at the same time.

I think Kieland Williams is going to be the sleeper. He will get more touches this year and with us having young QBs we should run alot

His "fumbling problems" are definitely overstated on here, but if KW wasn't so afraid of getting hit, he'd be starting instead of Scott. He'll probably have a season similar to last year.

That said, he's 225 lbs. It would be nice if he would run like it sometimes.

ESPN doesn't show that he has had any fumbles in his career?

I dont know, in the 2nd half of last season, KW was running hard.

I dont know what happened, but Scott seemed to run out of gas last season, and struggled towards the end of the year.

So for that reason, I'd like to see KW get more carries throughout the season, so both guys can be fresh towards the end, hopefully for a run at the SEC West.

I agree, it wasn't just him though. The entire team(the OL most importantly) mailed it in after the Bama game. For Scott, he took quite a beating during the first 8 games of the season, moreso than most.

Let's hope that an improved passing game + KW running to his full potential takes some of the pressure off Scott.

EDIT: Btw, the fumbling thing isn't completely made up. Supposedly, KW had issues holding onto the football in practice last spring. People have been running with the "KW always fumbles LOL" thing ever since.

KW doesn't know where he is supposed to go most of the time. He doesn't hit the hole at full speed.
Will trust Miles over you piccalo and flute player in deciding how much KW plays.
