Not a bad list of offers: LSU, Alabama, Georgetown, Ga Tech, Ole Miss, Stanford, etc.

This is great news. Now there are probably two more spots for 2010. I wonder if Andre Stringer will be ready to commit soon.

He needed Derenbecker pretty bad cause it was going to look bad when he started dropping 20-10 for Bama.

Also, don't forget that transfer Malcolm White will be eligible and ready to contribute in 10-11!

Stringer said he plans on committing in the early signing period (November).

He says it in here

According to a recent article on Rivals, he will most likely be a top 100 player on the next list. He's already on ESPN's top 100, at number 94.

so what's his story? good motor, high IQ, coach on the floor, deceptively athletic? or Chase Budinger?

I think he has more consistent perimeter range than Budinger, lacks the height and overall freakish athleticism and jumping ability of Budinger, but a not a bad comparison. Derenbecker is a guy that will perform better in college IMO than Budinger but Budinger is a guy ideal for the NBA game with the spacing matchup problems he'll force.

Does he (not) play defense like Budinger?

I've heard that he's not a bad defender.

Budinger shot 40% from 3 last year, 48% overall.

and they list Derenbecker at 6'6" meaning at most Budinger has 1 inch on him.

and yeah, he's similar minus the athleticism, like i said
