My wife and I are going to NYC tomorrow night. We're staying at the Westin Times Square. I had made reservation for tomorrow night at Shulas b\c it was in the hotel which would give us a little extra time to get ready b\f Wicked. Someone told me that Shulas is not that good. Anyone have a recommendation for steakhouse in Times Square\Theater district?

Del Frisco's Steak House (212) 575-5129. Not native to NYC, so perhaps someone on here can give you a more authentic NYC steakhouse.

I don't think its close to you hotel...by a long shot...but as I understand it, THE steakhouse is PETER LUGER'S. The original eatery of this genre. But I think its in Brooklyn.

I think I remember that reservations for that place need to be made well in advance, but I could be wrong.

Del Frisco's is very close to where you'll be.. 6th Ave and 49th / Rockefeller Center. It's excellent but be advised.. it's not cheap.. it is NYC, ya know.. have fun.. great steak and lobster.. Enjoy the show..

It is in Brooklyn and it is IMO overrated. I've been twice and I didn't get the hype. The steak is no better than Ruth's and the sides were average at best. The waiters were dicks as well.
The best steakhouse I have been to in NYC is The Palm. Great atmosphere and the steaks were awesome. Good sides as well.

I was at Del Frisco's June 4, 2009 for dinner.. had filet mignon, med rare, perfectly cooked.. delicious lobster..

Sorry to hear u had a bad experience Hollywood.. Had I paid Del Frisco prices and got a dry steak, they'd hear me yelling all the way up in Poughkeepsie..

While I am not sure about the quality of the food, Michael Jordan's Steakhouse in Grand Central Station has amazing ambiance!

Back in 1999 I went there and sat at the bar, which overlooks the terminal. As I recall the food was good, but I can say that my palette is much more developed now.

Went with a large group to Del Frisco's and loved it. Even a vegetarian ate a steak! I had a Filet, of course with a side of mushrooms.
