Given this year's schedule is somewhat less rigorous schedule and we have a more settled QB??

I would think the fanbase here is going to be a little dissapointed with that.

My impression is that the fanbase is already disappointed we don't have 4 NCs over the last 4 years.

Fanbase would be upset, but it would matter more how we did it I think. If we lose to Washington, La Tech, or something like that, it will be much worse than if we lose to the typical UF, UGA, etc.

If fans look at this schedule that we have and the hard games we have on the road I think they would understand 8-4 but we better be competitive in the games, no blow outs.

I think it's totally legitimate question. Guy makes around 4 mill a year, and he should be held accountable for frick sakes.

Yes, 8-4 makes his seat warm. 9-3 should get a little complaining, and 10-2 or above people shouldn't say one damn word.

I don't believe that this year's schedule is less rigorous than last year's. I do believe that the Tigers will do better, though.

To answer your question, 8-4 would not put Lesticles on the hot seat...at least not with the Athletic Admini8stration. The fans?....probably would try to start heating his seat a little, though.

It's really a no-brainer 9-3 is the breaking point for this LSU team. Anything better will be perceived as a successful season. Anything worse will be perceived as a disappointing season.

9-3 ... well, that would be neither as it's about what one should expect with a second-year starting QB and a tough schedule.

To answer the question, though, yes anything worse than 9-3 and Miles would take some heat, whether deserved or not.

Win the games we're supposed to win, and pull out at least one of Florida, @Georgia, @Ole Miss, and @Bama and I'll be satisfied. That said, I really feel we'll take two of those games and end up 10-2 going into the SECCG.

2001, 2003, 2005, 2007, _______ ... fill in the next number. LSU will be playing in Atlanta this year (and not for the Chicken Bowl).

How is that being a ranter? All I did was ask how many wins Les needs next year. Unless you think the answer is 0, then it wasn't an unreasonable question to ask. Why don't you pull your head out of your arse and stop throwing around the ranter label to every post that you don't understand.

I don't see how this year's schedule is less rigorous. Our OOC schedule is a bit improved and we have far more intimidating road games this year than we did last year. In any case, 8-4 with a bowl win does not make Miles' seat warm provided he can muster another impressive bowl win. The failure to reach 10 wins in 2011 would begin to put pressure on and bring back the Saban comparisons

THe manner in which you posed the question was inflammatory, as if he is in danger of losing his job.

You are mentally challenged. I hardly ever throw that label around. You just don't have the mental agility to think on another level.

I think recent history has shown that pretty much every coach in America is two disappointing years away from being fired. 99.9% of LSU fans would say that last year was a disappointment, so I was just trying to gauge what other LSU fans think that level is for this year. I'm not here to assess whether it's right or wrong for that to be the case, but you'd have to have your head buried in some pretty deep sand to not see the realities of college football's landscape when it comes to this sort of thing, and we're no better here at LSU.

I never once said I thought his job SHOULD be in danger or even was in danger right this second, all I asked was how bad of a season would we have to have for that to change. Jump in the Delorian and go ask Auburn fans on July 14th 2008 what it would take for Tubby to be fired and I guarantee you get laughed off their board as well.

I'll go ahead and take that with a grain of salt, considering that the whole nature of the post went over your head.
