I believe Matt Gaudet will try and come back this year. He was released right before the season started.

Talking to Paul, I was under the impression that Ryan Schimpf should be moved to the Possibly Returning slot or Possibly Going, it wasn't as sure of a yeah he's gonna go type of deal.

Talked to a STM booster today and he said it's still 50/50ish (maybe a slight lean to LSU) on Colvin. He was also telling me about another STM player (believe he will be a junior next year) that has arguably the best glove in the history of their program. I'm feeling pretty good about Dean returning but I still think Schimpf is a goner.

Thanks for compiling the list. I think the real question marks are going to be Dean, Von Rosenberg, Colvin, and Schimpf.

If I had to make a bet (with no inside information), I would guess the first three are playing for LSU next year, while Schimpf is in the minors.

I agree with this. Schimpf might be able to improve his draft position but NOT his payday, so I would be surprised if he stays.

I think Dean proving he can play a position could greatly elevate his draft position, but not sure if he could improve his payday.

I was looking at which LSU players were in the Cape Cod League and saw that Brett Breuning had two outstanding starts for his team (0.75 ERA).

i have good information from a very reliable LSU source that Lemahieu isn't as much of a lock to go as everyone thinks. signing bonuses are going to be lower this year so he might be hard to sign. he will probably be pro but it isn't over til he signs

Heard Mcghee on a radio show today and his thoughts were Schimpf gone, Ochinko gone, Dean is up in the air.

Everyone picked around LeMahieu has gotten 450-500K, he's going to get paid.

I've also heard rumors that his fiancee wants him to stay another year, FWIW.

If Chicago was concerned about his position they wouldn't have picked him in the 2nd and him being a sophomore is a bonus.

You're right. He'll probably get even more because of it.
