Tiger fans liked Miles' support in Omaha. Did Mack Brown go?

To me, and what seems like a majority of other Tiger fans, Miles showing up to Omaha was great thing to see. I know some rantards will give some differing opinion on this but I think a large majority of us liked it. While I know the games were back to back, I think it was cool that he didn't just pop in for one game and leave. Let's face it, if he really didn't want to be there he could have hopped on a private jet back to BR anytime he wanted so it's not like a situation where "he may as well go to game 3 while he's there". Also, I think he goes whether or not two football players are on the team or not. In any case, it doesn't matter now, he went and showed support and ESPN frequently gave air time to this fact.
Did Mack Brown not go? Unless I got up to take a piss every time they showed him in the stands then as far as I know, he didn't. Even game 3, I would have thought he may have seen/heard that Miles went and would feel obligated to go for the final game. Any word on Brown being there or if UT fans cared or not whether he didn't go?

Roy Williams was cheering for UNC against LSU last year, and everybody called him a douche. Go figure.

He wasn't called a douche because he was cheering for UNC against LSU. He was called a douche because he's a douche.

Trent Johnson was in the stands also.
I think it would be great if anytime one them got into a championship situation the other two attended.

That's because Roy Williams is a douche. Keep up.

I think it looked real good for our program to have Miles there being interviewed. Kids will want to play for such a personable man who is also proven to be a championship level coach.
I think Mack Brown wasn't there because his ego wouldn't let him be "second-fiddle" to a baseball coach. I also think it may have showed he had no confidence in UT winning and didn't want to be there for that.

"When is he gonna let a couple of his basketball guys play some baseball?"
When he has more depth then just his starters

Miles being there was a beautiful thing IMO. And think about this - every two sport athelete that is trying to decide on which sport to play ( as most coaches force you to pick the sport giving you the scholly ) just noticed Miles' support for the baseball program and heard how Miles allowed Jared to focus on baseball this year while on a football scholly. Simply fabulous.

or b/c he just didn't want to go???? Why must there be a back story to EVERYYYYYTHINGGGG, why can't it just be a simple answer?
How do you know Miles only went b/c he thought it would help bring recruits to his football program? And not a genuine love for other Tiger sports? B/C if that was the reason behind him going, then I'd rather not see him there...
but only playing devil's advocate in the thread

Texas Pee Wee league football championships were this weekend in Dallas (9 and 10 year olds). Mack was there trying to sign up some prospects.

I think you may be reading to much into his absence. Actually, I'm sort of laughing at this scenario you just described.
Miles and Johnson were there probably because it gives both of their programs exposure on a national level. Very smart if you ask me....plus they just might enjoy a good ball game like all of us normal people.

and i'm not doubting that... i'm just saying its just as easy to spin Miles being there as a bad thing as it is to spin Mack not being there to be a bad thing
and we don't need to overanalyze little tidbits like this shite...

I was glad to see Miles at the game. I had a bunch of new LSU fans at my house three nights in a row to watch it out here in California. They were impressed with Miles being there, especially when he would tweet about eating Lil Dips with his son in the stands. Also, it was fun to watch him get upset at the close calls at first and so forth. We all know and love the fact that Les Miles is not only a great coach but also a real LSU fan. So again the whole thing impressed new LSU fans.
Oh yeah, and one more thing. On Monday, I had to leave home during the eighth inning to play ball game with the men in our church. We read Les Mile's tweets to keep up with what was going on as LSU took it into extra innings. It was really great to have the head football coach giving us updates of the baseball game!!!!
