So I've had bread pudding at too many places to even begin to name but I've got to say I had the best ever last night... in New York.

I hate to say it but, in my opinion, it beats out anything I've ever had in NOLA.

Who do you guys think has the best?

I am sure I will catch hell for this.

But I like Brunets Coconut cream bread pudding.

Never had Brunet's so I can't comment on theirs.

But I have yet to eat any bread pudding better than the Bread Pudding Souffle' at Commander's Palace.

It seems like every time I get bread pudding in NOLA it's always very soggy. Anyone else share that opinion?

My grandmother, I've still yet to have one as good in a restaurant.

:kige:

That's my favorite dessert ever. Brennan's of Houston also has a very good one.

Killen's Steakhouse in Pearland, TX (suburb just south of Houston). Their creme brulee bread pudding was voted as one of the best desserts in 2008 by Food & Wine. Trust me, it's GOOD!

See I thought theirs had too much rum in it. The sauce almost tasted like straight rum when I tried it.

That's the correct answer for me too. I have had a pretty solid bread pudding at Luke.

I like the bread pudding at Bon Ton Cafe. Very good whiskey sauce, I gotta be careful going back to work after lunch.
