Very true. As long as I can see purple and gold on TV...

I hate it when people try and make detailed predictions of games as if it's even a remotely reasonable thing to do. How can you try and call overtime? Or come from behind victories? It's f'ing silly as shite.

Let's see, I predict that we beat Auburn at home on a last second throw to Byrd with 2 seconds left on the clock...

It's one thing to predict how good a team will be, or even what their record might be, but to try and predict individual game scores and circumstances is beyond stupid...I know it's the off-season and there's nothing else to discuss but this is just absurd.

Not trying to single you out or sound like a dick or anything, but I've always felt this way regarding specific predictions of a game. I mean, you can't predict fumbles or int's and all the randomness of football.

All I know is, I could believe losses to Ole Miss in Oxford, and maybe to Florida in the SEC CG. But not to the Gators in Tiger Stadium, and not to Alabama anywhere.

Reality called. It wants you to come back.

Seriously, LSU could lose to anyone on their schedule. Remember Michigan vs App St. or Stanford vs. Southern Cal? It isn't unbelievable that they could lose to possibly the best team in college football (Florida) or to a very good team (Alabama) on the road. Fwiw, I don't think they will, but not believing it could happen? Come on.

nice thoughts on the season. Im not going to dare to predict but i think LSU falls in the 10-2 or 9-3 range just as most due. The one thing that I will say about this season deals with Ole Miss. A lot of talk has been made about Ole Miss running away with the west. It is definitely possible. Ole Miss is loaded, Houston Nutt is a great coach, and they have probably the best "pure qb" in the SEC. All that being said, I believe that Ole Miss will fall on their face this year. Not a bad season but far short of expectations. I say they will probably be 8-4. Expectations can be hell on a team that is not used to the limelight. Maybe the Rev. Nutt can keep em focused but I just don't think that Ole Miss will handle the pressure. Just my two cents though.

I half-agree with you, however I'm a stern believer that a good bit of Ole Miss' success this past season was attributed to the came-out-of-nowhere factor -- kind of like the Saints' success back in 2006.

It looks like you think our offense will be a weakness, since you don't have them scoring out of the 30's in any game but one.

Nice job. If the defense improves like we hope, 9 or 10 wins in the regular season is not a reach. Stout defense and winning the turnover battle to complement what should be a very potent offense should propel this team to a New Years Day bowl to say the least. Heck, Colin Cowpie just picked the Tigers 4th in his pre-season poll, ahead of 'SC. He seems to believe the LSU "D" will be back with Chief at the helm. Hope so.

Only once having them score into the 40's?

I think that having them score in the 30s 5 times is pretty generous -- a majority of these games will be defensive battles.

Yeah, the West loss was up in the air for me. I don't think we will lose to both, but I think we will lose to at least one.
