I'd take that trade only if the Hornets get a new coach... with the way Scott develops talent plus the tempo of the offense, Tyrus would stay on the bench. Not to mention the Hornets haven't shown the ability to draft well, so a mid-first round pick would get them another Wright or Armstrong.

Who would replace West's 20 PPG?

What are firsts going to do for a team with Scott as coach?

Totes?

This doesn't change my point at all. If anything, it helps my point that we need to get rid of him. He was our main rebounder for over half the season and his numbers went down. He didn't compete with a 7 footer very much this year. Plus he played 39 minutes a game! He pretty much averaged a rebound for every 4.5 minutes played. That's not very good. He's the only player on that list other than Kevin Durant to play 39 minutes. If he's going to play that many minutes, he should easily be in the top 10, maybe close to top 5.

Take our pay roll down to a manageable level.

i would absolutely jizz my pants

seriously, our front office is not going to be able to pay rookies right now. we need to hoard picks and then use them as trade bait. not all teams are retards that dont build through the draft

Like Ron said, use them as trade bait to help the team get better.

Not having a manageable payroll is bad for the team

Right if we did that it would be good, but we are just as likely to sell a first round pick as we are to trade them

I would make that trade in less than a heartbeat.

As opposed to drafting and screwing the cap situation up more?

again, there are teams around the league that actually draft and develop young talent

it would not be hard to move a first round pick

Oh, and I'd love to see D'Antoni as the Hornets coach, but that wouldn't happen.

the first rounder would be nice, but your talking about trading a 2 time all star for a bench player and a draft pick player (probably mid to late, being the Bulls are a playoff team) in which you probably won't be getting much out of. I was always a big proponent of not drafting and trading to get established players. You never will be able to determine what you gonna get in the draft other than say the top 5 picks.
