You must admit, his dancing was quite a bit less last season than the previous two.

I think pehaps less but SP got in his arse about it at the end of the year.

I truly think the guy could be something if he's willing to learn. Without that he's just another Devin Hester.

But he's only made those plays 2-3 times a season. He only had a handful last year and two were in one game which the Saints still managed to lose (not his fault).

Devin Hester isn't signed to a $60M contract.

Well, he hasn't been able to put together a season and really find his rhythm in the NFL IMO. I think it should come shortly. And the game changing plays doesn't have to be plays of long distances. It could be a simple first down, a critical catch or punt return or many other ways.

what pisses me off is at the beginning of last season, Hokie Gajan stated that he didn't see anything special in Pierre Thomas....he even said that he wasn't sure that Thomas should even make the team....it was during training camp...whoever was on the radio with him at the time(i think it was Jim Henderson) said to him something like,"Hokie..there is no chance in hell the Saints will cut Pierre Thomas."....and Hokie disagreed....then right after a great Pierre Thomas performance at the end of the season i had to listen to Deek Belavia and Hokie Gajan give themselves a pat on the back for always believing in Pierre from the start even before anyone thought he had a chance...it made me sick....i swear Deek said something like,"Hokie...while most fans doubted Pierre Thomas....you knew from the get-go he had what it takes to be special."...something like that....then Hokie went on and annointed Deek and himself as the ones who first discovered that this dude was pretty dam good....i swear on my grandmother's grave.....i never did like Hokie or severely Cajun-accented Belavia very much...but after listening to them this past season, i tons of respect for them, especially Hokie...he's retarded....does he actually think that some people aren't going to remember some of the assanine things that he says?....he definitely lied about the Pierre Thomas situation and he never says anything very informative while on the radio....i actually can'y believe he was actually a freakin scout.....sorry for getting off the subject....

Thats quite the hijack.

However, Reggie is an important part of this team. We have no idea if his absence would have hindered the Saints from making the NFCCG in 06. I know a lot of hype for the Saints came from the drafting of Reggie. Not the signing of Drew Brees (best FA signing ever), be we, as fans, couldn't have known the impact of that signing. Bush brought excitement to this team and city in 06 and continues to be a big part of the continued excitement every year at this time.

Wasn't Hokie a scout for the Saints in the early 80s? Could explain a lot.

Hookie is a good dude, don't flame out too bad. Also, it has nothing to do with this topic. FWIW, the media covering the Saints said over and over that Jake couldn't hold AB's jock too. So there you go.

By comparing these two men solely on the third seasons of their careers

Yeah I would do this too. That way we can ignore the fact that his rookie year Faulk ran for over 1200 yards and averaged 4.1 YPC, and he ran over 1000 yards in his 2nd season too.

I like the post it compared everything about them except anything that made Reggie look bad.

Everyone's talking about Reggie's style but the even bigger problem with Reggie for me is his inability to hold onto the football. Fumbling once every 38 attempts has got to stop, else he's making 'game changing' performances in favor of the wrong team.

He was never hurt in college b/c he only got 5-15 touches a game. He doesn't need 20-25 touches to be effective in this league b/c he has the ability to make things happen evry time he touches the ball. If they just gave him 10-15 carries and catches a game he still can hit the homerun....and then maybe, just maybe his injuries will see a decrease.
