per college football live.

Joe Schad thinks it's...

1. Aaron Korp
2. Matt Barkley
3. Mitch Mustain

I don't know if transferring from Arkansas was such a good idea for him.

That is pretty much dead on and consistent with reports from out West. barkley has a super stong arm. Doubt he'll start, but is ceratinly #2 and will likely not move down to 3rd. Word from PC, the QB coach and most others are that they've never seen a Freshman this far along at QB.

Corp's a redshirt sophomore right? If he's the definite starter, do you think they'll redshirt Barkley, so he can still start for three years? I realize that it seems weird to redshirt your second best QB, but Mustain is obviously better than most third stringers.

Yes on Corp. And no--mainly because Mustain reportedly looks almost terrible (relative to AC and MB). But you never know.

That is the word I am getting. Amazingly good. PC is huge on turnovers by the QB. Frankly, I think Corp is playing it a tiny bit safe. Hopefually if named the starter, he will open it up more. PC said he will name a starter at te end of Spr practice just as he does for games. He said he will re-evaluate in the late summer practices.

Although Mitch is not guranteed to be the 3rd st QB, I can only imagine he must be kicking himself. Highest rated QB out of HS. Gets a stellar start for a freshman for 8 games at an SEC school. Everything is going as planned. Dreams of being a first round pick. Gets more cocky, arrogant. and transfers, thinking he'll start at SC after sitting out. So far, not far-fetched that he would start. Gets beat out by Sanchez--okay fine, he was also the highest rated QB in his class. Sanchez leaves Yay says Mich, as he knws SC only has the 4th highest rated QB who is younger and less experienced, to beat out. Now this. The only thing saving him from offing himself is the thought of matt cassell. ANd he knows that is the exception rather then the rule.

1. Aaron Korp
2. Matt Barkley
3. Mitch Mustain

thats how it should be. and that's not a knock on mustain cuz he could definitely be the number 1 guy at most schools.

Sounds like Barkley is going to be a very good one for y'all. Any possibility USC rolls out with some sort of dual quarterback system for Corp and Barkley?

Not sure about a true dual system, but so far, everyone thinks Barkley will see decent playing time (i.e., good second half action with big leads)

What's with the inability to spell his name?

It's Corp, not Korp.
