Is the Baseball team really just above average to Mediocre

Seriously, we have not looked dominate in a single SEC series, granted we have some good wins? But do you actually believe the team right now is a top 5 team. Especially considering the consistent mid week losses to instate schools?

when you have only about 3-4 starters playing against an instate school in the midweek of course the guys aren't going to be into it.
wow...off the top of my head I think we're the only SEC team to win every series...just wow
wow again...Georgia, Ole Miss, Alabama all in the top 30.

Every other team in the top 15 has more that 1 sweep this year! Ok, so we won our SEC series so far, but can you honestly say that we have been dominate? Last night a sub-par instate school made our hitters look like high school players and this is by far not the first time this has happened. Please put your un-dying loyalty to LSU aside for a minute and look at the stats.

This is baseball. You do not win every game. Pitchers get hot. Batters get cold. Hell, in the majors if you win 100 games you have a superior season. that means you lose 62 games.

You really need to start following college baseball nationally to get a better idea of how good we are. You'd notice how much other top teams lose midweek games. We are definitely a top 10 team.

I am not talking about what might happen in the post season. I am talking about justifying our current high ranking. Of course on paper it looks like we deserve it, but in realitly at this point in the season do we really deserve it? I see us as a current 15 to 20 ranked team.

I think you need to take your own advice and go look at the top 25 results in midweek games this year
