In the Gt game, what was it 35-3, I mean lets leave the horse running and make it 70-3, that will look great for our program and how we have such character.

didnt we pull off an onside kick in the 4th qrtr??

PLEASE be quite.

However for most these idiots when it comes to JJ's second half performance vs ark and gtech...coaching is to blame.
you will never hear me making excuses for his second half against arky, but when your a true frosh and doesn't know the bulk of the offense and the opposing team turns their D up in the second half, what do you think will happen? besides the kid put 30 something on the board, that is enough to win, the defense lost that game.

the Ga. tech game, he played well throughout, did we watch a different game?

What Miles did in the Chick-fil-A bowl was the correct way to dominate. When you are ahead you do not call off the dogs until the other says "Uncle!" The GT coach was still trying to win in the 4Q, so keep the pressure up. The fake punt and the long TD pass was all legit as far as I was concerned.

second half stats
6-13 for 22 yrds.
4 rushing yrds.
I mean I was there, but to say I was as enthused about his 2nd half performace as his first might be stretching the truth.

I liked his 2nd half in the Peach a lot better than the one against Arky.

I'm just glad to be going into this season with some QBs that have some practice reps and meaningful game experience under their belts. We got a few good QBs, what a problem to have.

Actually we did that in the second quarter NOT the 4th quarter. And i am really sick of people like you not at least admitting that JL threw bad passes. Plain and simple: bad passes, the first pass at auburn, BAD, the first pass against georgia, BAD, there were many more, and i will agree with you, JJ did have poor 2nd half performance against arkansas, against Gtech he did have an amazing throw to lafell that was called back because of a holding call. But other than that, he MANGAGED the game very well for a QB, especially a QB that was a true freshmen and really hadn't played at all this year. In the 2nd half of both of those games he did nothing to allow either team to come back, didn't turn the ball over and, like good QB's do, he made them win the game on offense and not give the game away by turning the ball over.

actually I meant fake punt not onside kick... did we do that too??

furthermore I dont think anyone has not admitted JL threw some bad passses last year.. not sure where that came from.

God forbid a redshirt-fresh qb makes some bad throws. WTF was JL thinking?

First off dont kid yourself its not EVERYONE. ITs a select few.
I posted this earlier, just in case you missed it or didnt get it the first time.
I dont understand the confusion... pretty elementary stuff.

the only way JL will become the starter is if the coaches believe that he gives us a better opp to move the ball and score points than JJ does, and VICE VERSA.

Im not, nor have I been advocating one over the other.
Im just not after 2 starts, ready to put all my eggs in the JJ basket as some of you are.

This is a new season, both of them are older they have some experience now.
However if you believe JL is sitting around waiting for JJ to get hurt so he can play....you are fuking nuts or have never played any type of competitive sports in your life.
Espec afer the struggles he had last season.
Dont yall think JL's aware of that... ?

Geees, its not that hard to comprehend.
Only reason i get labeld a JL lover is b/c i get sick and tired of these idiots stomping the guy... For God's sakes one of these momo's in this thread that was trying to say who should play qb didnt even know who the frick CG was???

I mean serioulsy, some of you kill me
SOrta like playing cards with your brothers kids.
nerve racking sonsofbitches.

or any experienced QB that jumps out to big leads on a team for that matter, they don't play with the same gusto in the 2nd half, but this kid was a frosh for petes sake, lighten up.

Rat,
Its obvious to me by reading your posts the past months that you absoltutley refuse to believe or say anythign other than JJ is king and will continue to be all season.
Ill give you an A+ for consistency.

As for me....So much for having an objective point of view.
Im pretty sure its safe to say that you are going to be one dissapointed dude if JJ doenst play lights out.
Sad part about it is, you're the type that it's more important for you to be right than for our team to win.

if people expect him to play lights out then they will be disappointed, he's still learning so I don't expect him to play lights out, just more consistent.

I dont understand according to many of you....
why what goes for JJ doesnt also apply to JL?

I mean for the most part, you have 2 guys that are pretty even keel in ability and experience.

true, but I will share with you what I saw that made the difference IMHO, one, JJ, displayed a incredible poise and calmness for a true first time player, he didn't panic, which is unusaul for someone his age, his arm was erractic but he still made plays with hardly any knowledge of the offense.

the other, Lee, though talented is nervous in the pocket even though he's been there longer in the system, makes bad decisions, and is unsure of himself, but he has a great arm and hopefully will learn to settle down and play.

IDK, not much alot of the time! .

I just dont see where people are getting all this stuff about how JL is so much better now and cured. Wake up check, he looked good last offseason to in practice when no one could touch him . And then they say well this is a new season. Well yea but that doesnt make that much difference, I mean hes still probably the same QB slightly improved with 3 more months with the coaches.

and BT, like really idk y this is such an issue to you. I respect Jarett Lee and will give him credit for his effort, but not for his play! I mean plain and simple, it was on average very bad. Yes he played well sometimes, but sometimes doesnt cut it in the SEC. THe Big 10 and Pac 10 are where sometime is for. And dont give me crap well ther'ye tough SEC defense, thats just what the SEC is and if JL wants or is going to be the QB of the LSU football team, his play shouldnt be considered ok just cause he inexpirenced and playing against tough D's.

I agree but...

1.) JJ is much calmer in game situations which makes him be more clear headed in the games and not so uptight

2.) JJ is a better leader and the team appears to have more confidence in him

3.) JJ has a swagger to him which JL lacks

4.) JJ is mobile so it makes his skills much more potent than JLs because he can escape from trouble or create things on his feet.

This is why I think most of us believe and trust JJ should and will be the starter come Sept. 5
