Yes, and he's a former CHS assistant and player. He's ready for the jump to 5A

He is a very good coach. We played against them and he had his team very ready to play. I agree he is ready for the jump.

I wish Catholic would go out an FIND a coach.

Too many resources and ATHLETEs at that school to have the little amount of bball success we have had.

Why we dont recruit for basketball, beats me. We should be contenders for the Top 28 every year; the best players should want to come to CHS like they come for football and track.

coach todd is not that good of a coach, had a ton of talent and never did anything with it

Never had top 28 talent.

Top one year

He did the most he could with those squads.

Not one quality player above 6'4 in his 6 years there(best player was kevin miller and zumo)

His problem is that he couldnt get the best athletes in the school to play or stick on the basketball team.

17 collegiate football players in the last three years, 15 of which were D-1, and not one of them played ball their junior or senior year. Todd Lee, Jason Peters, Thomas Broussard, Devan Walker were the only guys to play basketball and they all quit before their senior year..

This is an interesting opening. I am curious if they will go after someone who played in the program or not. The obvious option would be Jonathon Pixley, but I am not sure if he would want to go there after he did not get the job when it opened last time.

I have not followed Cascio's career at CHSPC, but it appears his record last year from their website was 7-15. He has also only been a head coach for I think 2 years.

I hope they make a run at Pixley, but after that I really don't know.

if they want Pixley they will have to pay him more than they probably want to and they will have to give him control of the facility during the off season for his camps and individual instruction. That is much easier said than done.

I think Cascio would do an excellent job but I wonder if they would give the job to someone so young and relatively inexperienced.

How about Brian Hargroder from Live Oak. He coached at Redemptorist during their last State BB Title.
