Sounds interesting

Progressive dinner moves through Perkins overpass
The merchants of Perkins Road Overpass area are doing something that should've been done a long time ago: A progressive dinner. Enjoy late-evening shopping and entertainment in the mom-and-pop shops that dot the historic district this Thursday evening. The "Moveable Feast" benefits Best Buddies Louisiana, a nonprofit that will "provide friendship and employment opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities right here in Louisiana." Participating restaurants and merchants include Chelsea's, Zippy's, George's, DiGulio Brothers, Bella Bella, Zee Zee Gardens, Royal Standard and Cottonwood Books. Tickets are $35. 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Details at bestbuddieslouisiana.org.

I am interested, and I love helping good cause (both charities and areas of cities trying to make a push to become more intriguing)...only eaten at Chelsea's....are the rest worth a drive to BR?

I'd say so, but Chelsea's is the best IMO.

Each restaurant will have a small tasting dish. From what I have read, the dishes seem random and are not representitive of the restaurant. Even so, I'll be there since I live a block away.

They call that a progressive dinner...where's the meat?....this is a poor excuse for a progressive dinner...should be snacks and drinks at one place...soup and salad at another....main course at another...dessert and coffee at another....I think we should do our own F&D Progressive dinner...in New orleans...Tiger attny can set it up(he can work without billable hours)....I'm in....anyone else

Or...in Baton Rouge...who's up to take that one?

As someone who promotes this area and its restaurants on this board, I agree that this is piss poor and misrepresents the good food to be had at the overpass.

Do not let the ATC get a hold of this. They will try to strike it down based on zoning laws. Man, it is obvious that Chelseas really is a bad commercial property that is doing nothing for the civic community or charitable communities here in baton rouge, they really should be shut down /sarcasm off.
