Quite possibly. I still think the LSU/Florida '06 game was a bigger contest (as in better teams; though that SC-Texas Rose Bowl was a better game, imo).

The game of the century was USC vs Texas.

I agree with that but USC vs LSU would be our game of the century

I believe most USC fans would relish a chance to play us, when you bring up 2003 they get all upset. Just mention they have no trophy and they get super pissed. They would want nothing more than to beat us down. I for one would love to play them In the Rose. It would be an epic match-up. If it wasnt for last season LSU is win for win against USC this decade. Personally I feel USC fans want to play us but you can sense and bit of fear in their voice. They are confident they can win, but what if? What if LSU come to their house and just beats them down. One of my old room mates is a die hard USC fan and he always said he wanted to play us. Accept in 2007 , when he watched us one day and he said this year, LSU is much better than USC.

Yes, they have a lot more to lose. I know they could beat us but the think they are too good for us to beat them. I would love to knock them off their high horse

Why would a blowout be the game of the century?

Screw playing them in the Rose Bowel, I say the Sugar Bowl, we're undefeated there in National Championship games!

P.S. USC SUX!

Probably too much to ask for, but I'd *love* to get a piece of them this season, at the Rose Bowl, for all the marbles.

If you're going to play them, play them in the biggest game of the season in their own backyard...and punk 'em.

Perfect season for 2009-Beat Florida, win SEC CG over Tennessee, win MNC over USC at Rose Bowl.

I disagree, but I'm biased.

If you guys want to play them, have the fans and boosters pressure your AD into scheduling a h-h. It's not like USC backs down from a challenge in the OOC schedule dept - they like to play BCS teams all over the country. Both of those games would be guaranteed primetime slots - possibly on Labor Day night.

With the new TV contracts, you can't use money as an excuse anymore to justify scheduling a bunch of pansies like Tulane, N. Texas and Troy

And it's unlikely the two will ever meet in a bowl. The SEC and PAC 10 have no matchups (which needs to be fixed), the Rose would sooner fold than invite a top ranked SEC team over an overrated Big 10 filler as an at large and the odds of both these teams winning the BCS lottery in the same season are a lot slimmer than people realize.

If you're a fan and you want to see the game, make some noise.

Tangerine is still obsessed with the 1979 LSU-USC game & trying to defuse the facemask myth...

As long as Pete Carroll is at USC, we will continue to be one of the best if not the best team in the National Championship discussion.

LSU has been very good for most of this decade, with the two BCS Championships and an undefeated OOC streak (although two under the radar PAC 10 teams took them to the limit).

I would love to see it because I was at the 84 game in the Coliseum when you pasted us, and I want some payback. And some beer and gumbo.

Get your AD to throw down the gauntlet publicly. There's no way in hell we'd back down from that.

It has already been proven a myth by me and beyond any doubt whatsoever.

and if it was not for 10 losses in the last seven years, USC would be about 90-0 since that time.
