5"11 180 is NOT undersized for a NFL CB.

Why the frick do people keep saying he is undersized?

Epic fail.

tortious, again, I don't see where you're getting your numbers from, assuming you aren't making them up. David had a frontloaded contract and only a $3.5m signing bonus. It would cost very little to cut him, but he's pretty cheap to keep. MM is definitely the one in trouble if he doesn't take a cut.

And rotoworld is one of the few dogging the signing. Buffalo fans liked him, say he is a very capable man cb. Also, he turned down a 4 year $20m contract with buffalo, so he's making at least that.

One more thing. He is supposedly a HUGE jazz fan, so NOLA culture may have played a part in where he wanted to go, considering some good teams were going after him.

oh and 5'11 180 is actually average-good size for an nfl corner. nothing wrong with that.

CBs are short and agile. Not tall and stiff.

True story.

I'd say about 75% of the CBs in the NFL are less than 6"0 tall.

I just randomly looked at a list of the top 40 free agent CBs , and only eight players were 6"0 or taller for a whopping 20%.

I'm jus sayin...

No announcement of a Mckenzie cut (to make some cap room) so as I have speculated, he probably has renegotiated and will get to stick around and prove he has some game left. JD more likely to be cut out of the bunch-

Player Exp. '09 base '09 cap Signed through
Jason David 5 $2.4M $2.8M 2010
Randall Gay 5 $1.5M $2.8M 2011
Mike McKenzie 10 $4.5M $6.0M 2009
Tracy Porter 1 $455K $817K 2011
Usama Young 2 $460K $623K 2009

Some of you people need to put down the crack pipe - this is a damned good signing & now hopefully that #14 pick can be spent elsewhere.

While JD might be the most likely to be cut, i dont think he will be. He played really good football the 2nd half of last year except for one play against Hester in the Chicago game.

Nice video. Saints also need to be able to get pressure on the qb. But that video was very impressive. I just jumped on the bandwagon.

I dunno if I can remember anyone who was shopped as hard...

Greer, who joined the Bills as an undrafted free agent in 2004, visited the Lions, Browns, and Buccaneers. The Broncos, Dolphins, Jets, Eagles, and Rams also were interested.
