We only got Patrick Peterson because we (LSU) got his dad...

A big time coaching job at a local Baton Rouge high school according to THIS Miami fan...

Anyone actually know about Patrick's dad? Is he actually even coaching around the B.R. area? Any truth to ANY of this? My guess would be definitely be no, but I hadn't heard anything about this until now, so...?

In one of the reports about the Peterson family last summer, WAFB mentioned that he was an assistant coach at Redemptorist, where his brother Avery played as a freshman.
Obviously, there is no way he is making 100K a year, considering that Peveto makes about $125k coaching a fairly prominent 1-AA program.

This is correct. I remember he changed his name from Johnson (mom's last name) to Peterson (dad's last name) because they either got back together/remarried/dad became more involved in his life. I don't remember which and might be all three.

From what I remember, his dad is his real dad but his parents only got married a couple years ago. So Patrick & his other siblings were given their mom's maiden name (Johnson) when they were born.

I know a player who played for them last year and said he did not coach this past season but there was talks about him coaching the '09 season. I'm sure that's changed though since Avery was kicked out of school and wants to go back to Florida and may already be there.
