CNBC reporting UAE has announced they’re leaving OPEC. Is this another step toward lower prices once Iran is resolved?

Not clear yet, news came out less than 5 minutes ago.

Doubt they'd go to BRICS.
We have at least one base in the UAE and they buy a lot of our military equipment.

Now that is quite interesting.... Certainly seems like a favorable move for the US

Really should not come as a big surprise. The Emiratis have been floating this threat for about 5 years now. Probably would not change anything overall in the oil markets. UAE would be free of obligatory production constraints that are usually led by the Saudis.

When is VE announcing it?!
I wonder how opec, being essentially dismantled once the top ones drop out, will slow our gas prices from being connected to the world. Probably not as much as possible with our refineries not refining our own.
This kind of news hopefully helps the "why does VE/Iran matter to us?" understand why. Need to do some things to get us dislodged from the world web that was created.
