We are six days away from the 152nd Kentucky Derby. Any insight or suggestions on the big race? I’ve got to support my man Bob Baffert. He has two horses running - Potente son of Into Mischief and Litmus Test. I know Potente is already over bet simply due to his connection to Baffert and isn’t likely to place.

Thoughts on other horses?

Tough draw for pre-draw favorite, Renegade. This is another wide open derby, making for a good paying exotic bets.

emerging market, golden tiempo and silent tactic will find the bottom of my ex/tri wagers

Maybe but I like it. Love this time of year with The Masters then the big three Horse Racing events.

Cox horse, Florida derby winner is coming in off a big race.

Has beat best fields of any of the tune ups, and they crawled to the half and 3/4, and he still closed from dead last, and wide, which is not the place to be at gulfstream, and ran by.

He either takes another step forward or bounces off that big race. Hoping for the step up.

When it's 20 horses it's tough to pick because sometimes the best doesn't always win this race.

Went to the Derby last year. I will say it is the best run mass event I've ever been to.

Even if you are not a fan of horse racing (I'm not a die hard), I would urge you to go. We stayed in a BnB in Bard. The countryside between there and Louisville is absolutely gorgeous.

I agree, somewhat. I've been to CD every morning, and The Puma and Chief have impressed me so far. The California horses are complete rats. Japan always has the wrong jockey, and I am covinced Percy's Bar should run on on Saturday, instead of Friday. Nevertheless, this year's 3 year crop of colts is total crap. It was cool to see Sovereignty back out there on CD track. He wont lose again

For sure, fun times.

I recall going to Ruiodoso Downs with my family on Saturdays in the summer. Temp in the 70s, beautiful pine tree mountain views.

It just closed down due to the pine beetle/fires killing all the trees and then flooding washout.

That town looks like shite now.
