The players are deservedly getting more criticism than Jay. But their shittiness is obviously contagious because Jay has been making some questionable decisions of late. He's still the best coach in the biz. But no one is perfect.

He’s getting paid $3.3mil. Only one other coach is over $2.5mil. LSU would have absolutely no problem replacing him

Yes, he’s earned a bad year but he isn’t above criticism. He lost control and has no idea how to get it back. The offseason will be interesting.

Jay is a coach's coach, and consistently does what it takes to field a winning team. However this year it's been mostly failure and frustration in conference play. I admit on occasions I secretly pine for Maineiri's return to The Box.
