Well Allar just went in front of him
That injury talk a few days ago was not a good thing for him
I hate it for the kid cause he was a battler and actually stuck it out instead of transferring like so many others do now

because it's an unaddressed cyst on his spine that he said was the cause of his abdominal pain last year, yet he still hasn't had surgery on it. Nuss isn't good enough to spend a lot of money on him with that question mark lingering. Honestly, the article made it sound like he had no immediate plans to address the cyst, yet, at the same time, was the reason he was hurt all year

Jermod McCoy was thought to be a first round lock despite tearing his ACL and missing all last season. he still hasn't been drafted

As I remember the article, it said surgery WAS an option but MIGHT not be necessary. Even if he had surgery it was only a 3 week recovery. I had him going in the 3rd round but not that many picks left in that round.

But if the cyst next to a nerve on his spine caused him pain for an entire season and it was a minimally invasive procedure that would only sideline him for 3 weeks, I'd have gotten that surgery yesterday. I wouldn't just park it until it starts hurting again

Why not just do the surgery? If it made an impact on his play. Why not remove it if it’s a 3 week rehab?

Mel had Shedeur as the best available for about half the draft last year I’d take his rankings with a grain of salt

it's a surgery with a short recovery and it's not bothering him now. The cyst still being there has nothing to do with his draft status. He has red flags.

In fairness, everyone had Shaduer being drafted waaaaay before he was. I wouldn't single of Kiper here

Nuss has the surgery and he’s out 3 weeks. He doesn’t and he potentially looks like he did last year at LSU.

Everyone on earth would advise Nuss to get the surgery now, yet he hasn’t. It’s either extremely dumb or we don’t have the whole story.

NFL teams aren’t dumb, they have the story we don’t.

And they said if it flared up again he’d have a procedure and be fine in 2-3 weeks

I agree with you but it didn't seem like the only option. But yeah, hard to say rest would cure it because LSU really cut back on his practice time, etc. But Nussmeier and Kelly lied the entire season really. Time after time, they said there was no issue. But even though for some reason the LSU med staff couldn't find the cyst issue, they had to know there was a reason for his off and on pain the entire season. Some of it was lying but some of it might have been incompetence by the LSU med staff.

So wait for it to flare up again? LOL, why wouldn’t he just eliminate the possibility?

Has nothing to do with your wholly ignorant statement about his cyst not being operated on being the reason he's dropping. If it starts bothering him or the team he could have the surgery and be recovered in 2 weeks.

Total non-factor.
