So I’m sitting on my bike while it’s idling and getting ready to go for a spin and I feel movement on my right foot. I look down and this rascal is slithering underneath my bike. I’m assuming it was under my bike getting shade while it was on my driveway and I was in the house. First rattler sighting of the year and it’s been "permanently relocated”.

He'd just pet it and make friends with it.

I love his posts... but if he ever drops off the radar, we all will know why.

Yep.

The "Australia" of America.
Rattlesnakes , hogs, Bobcats, scorpions

I was gonna take a .45 after a bold bobcat and Mrs.Cars said, "you cant do that, they're endangered".

She was right.

Not hogs, javelina and I have had all four of the above in my garage at one time or another.

We don’t have bobcats but coyotes, copper heads and some of the biggest black widows I’ve ever seen.

My wife thought I was crazy when I bought my garden gun but it gets a lot of use especially during cicada season.

They had businesses and products dedicated to rattlesnakes in AZ. The fricking portapotty on our job site had a black mat underneath it. The purpose was to make it too hot for them to hide under it.

107 the day I left in late March. Helicopter rescued hikers that day due to the heat. frick that place.

I traded in that life 3 years ago after 20 years in the desert. I wasn't living with rattlesnakes under my truck, trash can and on my front door mat for one more day. I lost 2 dogs to rattlers and my boots saved me on more than one occasion. I'm in Louisiana now. I'll take my chances with mall shootings.

I went with the Henry level action because I keep my 45 on my hip when I’m out and about. Need something bigger for hogs and mad cows.
