Imagine a white politician saying "I learned about black people from watching Amos and Andy."

That's ridiculous.

We all learned about black people from Sanford and Son.

In his defense, the DoH was more credible than the MSM

Never watched Good Times, but we did watch Sanford and Son, What's Happening and re-runs of The Jeffersons.

Saw a few Fat Albert cartoons as well.

Amos and Andy was not racist. Amos was a cab driver and very level headed. Andy was a naive gentleman who was always tricked by Kingfish, who was always trying to swindle him. The main characters are were not unlike real people. The big controversy was that it was based on two white guys who started it as a radio show and portrayed them in black face.

I watched a lot of Good Times but am still not qualified to go to The Scotlandville Bodega 15 minutes before closing time.
