French Bulldog probably is active for four hours of the day. Gets up and move to under the dining g room table after his breakfast then Sleeps on couch like a drug addict after wife lets him out at all times of the day.
Gets in our bed at 11pm then just pants like he Ran a marathon.

Sounds like anxiety unless it’s something obvious like you keep your bedroom a lot warmer than the rest of the house. What about a cooling pad for him to lay on at night?

So not only do you let a dog get on your couch, you let the nasty non breathing fricker sleep in your bed? That's disgusting

Frenchies are notorious for their inability to breathe.
Maybe relaxing on the sofa is different than the deep sleep in the bed?
Regardless, you have a dog that has been bred to look a certain way, which compromises their ability to breathe normally.

It’s worth a check up at the vet. May have some sort of pulmonary edema or lung infection.

I've only had 1 dog in my 73 years on this orb that was an indoor dog and she slept on a big pad on the floor and not allowed on any furniture------and lo and behold, she survived.
Oh, and as far as those butt ugly French Bulldogs, I once heard a comedian describe them as a product of a mating between an Ugli fruit and a bat---and I found that to be pretty accurate.
