I feel this is one of those Mandela/Time Line thins. 3 Liter cokes were a thing and then they were just...gone.

They had those black bases you could pop off. We cut them open and made terrariums in elementary school...

Did they exist?

Did soda used to come in 16 ozs and have a styrofoam label?

Are all memories lies?

Yes.

I remember telling my parents to buy them because they were cheaper. But the caps were terrible metal caps that always let the drinks get flat.

I remember the 3 liter sizes but I don’t remember the metal caps. I thought they were plastic like the others.

I want to say that was on the old 2 liter bottles too.

Yep….we painted 2-liters when empty to use as duck decoys….3-liters were goose decoys!

I seem to recall as a kid - mid 90s - my mom used to go to Fred's on Sundays and come back with the Faygo three liter drinks and Golden Flake chips.

My family are American Patriots sir, we did not drink the crown's brew

RC Cola was garbage. Went flat faster than the 7up.

I remember when the smaller plastic bottles didn't exist and everything was glass bottles or cans.

I remember our local Coke distributor coming to my school and giving every kid a 20oz plastic bottle as a sample when they were released. Maybe late 80s/early 90s. I was probably in the 7th - 8th grade. The plastic bottles still suck today.
