Every time I open this page, old Buddy Diliberto’s voice echoes in my mind. All these posts bashing Jay Johnson and trashing players can be summed up very simply. Squirrels. I get the emotions and frustration, but if anyone has earned forgiveness it’s Johnson. He is a high caliber, incredible coach. Who else won 2 Championships in their first 4 years? Some mistakes were made in the off season. So what? Big whoop. If you have no faith that things will get fixed, keep crying and whining. I, for one, have absolute confidence that this gets turned around. May not be this season, but they will return and the Tigers will be back. So we had a down season. Get over it and shelve the BS. Stop trashing coaches and players. Have a more realistic and thoughtful take. Quit acting like the fans our opponents think we are.

Until then, consideration should be given to renaming this board.

I feel like I should say this for the 100th time. If you don’t want to see fans be critical of players/coaches, you shouldn’t be reading a sports message board. Especially right after that team gets swept.

Mad that people are ranting on the rant. Hell of a way to start the morning. Let’s see how this plays out.

I will also echo that if you don't want to see fans being critical of fans being critical, you shouldn’t be reading a sports message board, especially right after fans are being irrational after that team gets swept.

If they can come on here and overreact and scream at the sky that all is lost, then there’s nothing wrong with coming on here and saying things will be fine. Whoever doesn’t like it, tough shite they can do nothing about it.

I accept the fact that every time I get on this board I am going to see every type of post. Rational, irrational, positive, negative, etc

The fun is knowing when to chime in and when not to. I'm almost there

By supporting what the manager is doing? This narrative doesn’t fit. Those on here. Screaming how unhappy you are with a multi title winning coach seems much more the type.

Chiming in is the fun part. Replying to someone and telling them their post is dumb and pointless is nice. Kind of like I’m doing here.

I’m just giving this dude some advice. If he really doesn’t want to read any negativity about the team, he shouldn’t read this board. Kind of like when someone posts about how they are done with the team and someone responds “then don’t watch”

Verge called me this morning, and asked if he should fire Jay. I told him I’d check the Rant and get back to him.

Nothing wrong with criticism. I honestly don't mind it all from the posters that I see posting about baseball all year long. The hilarious thing is the casuals who haven't been part of any thread this season making a point to let everyone know how the season is over or they are done with the team or how they knew this was going to happen.

Truer words have rarely been spoken I still get my hackles up, at times, and I come in with my eyes wide open.

I'll be on all night after those if I don't force myself to step away. We even got a few "I played" comments

Make sure to let him know the word “unacceptable” has been thrown around a lot lately

I think the fact that we have underwhelmed in EVERY SPORT has actually added to problems. Many of us were looking for baseball to give us something to be excited about. It obviously hasn't happened
