Govee fans - do you have set color values for LSU purple and gold?

Or do you just wing and tune it until it looks "right"? Want to alternate purple and gold for a party in a couple weeks with some new govee string lights I just bought

I just play with it until I get the colors I want. The purple is easy...it's the gold, aka yellow, that's the harder part.

Play with it until it looks right.

Too many variables for it to be consistent. House brick? Siding? Stucco? What color of those?
One color won't fit all.

CAD, I need you to figure out how to do light show automations in HA, so I can make my living room lights flash purple and gold to the LSU fight song after a home run or touchdown

you got HA up and running? nothing me and my friend chatgpt 'codex' can't solve.

ain't nothing but a thing. i'll cook something up and send you the instructions. you tying into sonos or something else?

eta just saw its your tv; so still possible; probably would have to have a mic handy on a device near tv speakers so when it hears the LSU band playing 'tiger rag' after a TD it can 'shazam' that and trigger your lightshow.

that's probably the most reliable way.

eta2 and when it hears 'chinese bandits' it can fade the lights on and off <-- to simulate bowing to the football Gods

HA is not great for light shows. It can trigger something you have set up on an associated device but isn't really great for quick changes, etc. You would want ina light show.

I use HA to trigger Sound-reactive WLED devices or XLights shows.

I don't use govee, but if it natively reacts to sound you should be able to trigger a scene that starts the lights and music you want.

Some people have used teamtracker in HACS to trigger automations based on scoring, etc. but it's not likely going to be perfectly in time with the game on tv.

So true. Nothing like watching a game when someone in the room has a score app on their phone and we hear a ding two plays before every score. Thats with YouTube. I’m sure some services are slower than that even.

Maybe could set up a notification that allows you to press a button to trigger the song/lights to avoid spoilers.

We have a bell hanging outside our door, and my girls like to ring the bell when we score. I want to set up a sensor that triggers the fight song and lights when they ring the bell.

I'm just thinking a zigbee button that I can press that'll play the fight song on my soundbar, and then the automation will also start the light show.

I have 8 recessed lights in my living room, so I was going to replace the dumb dimmable bulbs with zigbee or Tuya RGB dimmable bulbs, so each light can be be synced a different color during the light show

LSU has official hex codes that they use for purple and gold. Can't use them in the hue app but openclaw was able to set them through the Hue bridge in HA.

No. Forest and nightlight on the presets.
However, does anybody have Govee string lights and care to share an opinion?

Openclaw wrote a script for me that plays the fight song on my exterior speakers at first pitch of every baseball game and if the game is going on at sunset my exterior lights turn purple and gold.

Will do the same thing for football but the script will look the night before the game for kickoff time since those can be set last minute.
