Absolutely fantastic show. New favorite that they perform. No California

Was there as well. Amazing show.
Bear, Hungersite, Madhuvan were absolute
First time at that venue. While it doesn't have much character the sound was maybe the best of any venue I have ever been to. Plenty of concession stands and easy to get around.

State of the Art (AEIOU), Madhuvan, Borne, Wysteria Lane, Jed Stone, etc. I watched via livestream on nugs.
I saw them a couple weeks ago in Athens and in Atlanta in September 25. They’re on fire right now.

"No California" is my favorite live Goose song. 100% better than the original artist's rendition.

They do a bunch of covers that are better than the originals

Coca Cola? Anyone going see panic this weekend or did Goose blow the place out?

I think some of the character will just come with time. Birmingham is trying deperately to build out that area so if it can get some more stuff around it, will definitely add to the overall experience. As you mentioned though, the sound quality is quite excellent. They designed it perfectly.

yeah I’m looking forward to seeing a show there. They already have a pretty full schedule which just goes to show you that what the people and the bands want is a 7,500 to 10000 seat outdoor venue with good sound and easy access.
Both panic shows are basically sold out
That New Orleans doesn’t have something similar in city park or the lakefront is a travesty. And I don’t want to hear whining about how hot it is, there’s design solutions for that and Birmingham AL (and Brandon MS etc) are just as hot. fricking Beaumont TX has a nice amphitheater in the middle of a damn cane field.
they could pretty easily convert zephyr field to an outdoor concert venue even. New Orleans could have an awesome winter schedule.

Ive been making this argument for over a decade. We miss on so many summer tours.

put it in the grass lot next to the lakefront arena (sorry hogs) or demolish maestri field and put it there. Easy access with multiple ways in and out, parking, infrastructure, security already there.
LSU could fricking build three of them for what they are paying for football coach buyouts. Lease it to SMG or something and take a cut of ticket and other revenue to pay it off.
make it 2500 seated and 5000 GA lawn. Cover the seated area and put sun sails out in the lawn that can be taken down for storms.
it’s ridiculous we aren’t a tour stop anymore

Well, it is managed by Live Nation so if a band wants to have a place to play and have tickets sold for their tour, they kinda have to make a stop at Coca-Cola.

no they don’t “have to”. Orion Amphitheater in Huntsville is not a livenation venue and they don’t use TM either. Same for St Augustine Amphitheater and many others. The Birmingham amp is attractive because it’s new, it’s the right size, it’s outdoors, and it’s in a good market and close to other good markets.
in other words, it’s exactly what the bands want…an easy tour stop close to other easy tour stops that hold a reasonable number of fans that they can sell all or most of the tickets

Yes, I am driving up for the Fri Night show only (unless I get arm twised enough to stay). Have a 2 day pass in pitt... really excited to hear the new guitarist (Nick) , the Amps sound quality reviews are positive. I hit just about every Oak Mtn show starting in 91..only missed the 95 & 98 runs. They always get down in Bham and expect for them to blast off Fri night. Went to NYE, Milwookie, RedRocks and Jazz Fest last year ...hitting Jazz Fest in a few weeks and undecided on RR. Beautiful venue and a rager party scene but not an easy one for a flatlander elevation had me sucking wind bad last year.
Def will hit Milwookie again ..trying to decide where I would go to replace RedRocks ...couple of the West Coast stops look promising

Will be at Goose Night 2 show at Saenger Nola next week

Right on. Headed to BHam tomorrow for both shows. Doing JF and Missoula as of now.

See you degens in Bham.
If you other dudes thought Goose was fire wait until you see what JB and the boys are about to do.

That venue looks amazing!
Several of my buddies are going to the Bend OR shows, which is another small cap outdoor Amp on the river.
I really like how they have set up their tour...opportunities to go to some really cool places for long weekend/mini vacations
I do 4-6 yearly..for the past few years I hit 2/3 of the Milwookie on my way to North Dakota for a 2 week duck & pheasant hunting trip. Thankfully they have kept the date consistently the next to last weekend in Oct. Which just happens to align with my drive up from the coast..perfect stopping point for 2 nights. At least that's how I justify it with my wife LOL
