These polls have got to be designed to run Trump off a cliff. Virtually no democrats support this war and independents only support it at 25% - the math doesnt math.

When you phrase the poll questions like that, most Americans are going to support. It's also very possible that many Americans had the attitude that they didn't like the idea of going to war, but once in the war, they want to win.

I’d be interested to know how the results would be if phrased “do you support military intervention with ground troops to…”
I think it would be less.
Though I think even I would answer yes with that phrasing for 1,3 and 4. As far as Iranian “freedom” they need to fight for themselves if that’s something they want I couldn’t care less there

I don’t care what conditions they choose to live in.
They can fight for freedom or leave.
We don’t need to waste our money bullets and sons to fight another government so people on the other side of the world has our “freedom”
