Ki Mexico for Tacos
Marilynn’s Place for poboys. Great patio and great beer selection during this nice weather
Fat Calf for upscale
Fat Tuesday’s downtown or in Bossier for sandwiches/salads
Bodacious Bar & Q has pretty good BBQ.

Ki Mexico is a must
Mae and Co and/or Heron if you don't mind traveling to south Shreveport
St. Laurent for really good pizza
Fat Calf
Marilynns Place just reopened and has decent food
Franks also has good pizza and a little more upscale
Bodacious is ok for BBQ but our BBQ is pretty mediocre
Koi for sushi

This is a good list. Asterisk for Bodacious. It’s good for Shreveport Q but really only slightly above average. I would add Blind Tiger downtown and if you want some really good soul food head down North Market street to Taylor’s.

Silver Star for BBQ…locations throughout Shreveport/Bossier. I’d recommend the original in Bossier out by the racetrack or Silver Star Grille in south Shreveport.

Bodacious BBQ is good but i prefer Silverstar personally. As another poster mentioned, if you do Silverstar go to the one by the racetrack around the I-20/I-220 junction if you can.
The original Superior is also a good choice

Also has a newer restaurant on Youree that serves both their BBQ menu and a Mexican menu. I forgot about that in my earlier post. Both menus are really good- the 'queso' on the Mexican menu is basically the Au Gratin sauce.

I'll have to give that a try. Their Au Gratin potatoes are great so I can only imagine how good the queso must be

Ki Mexico - excellent by any city standards.
Fat Calf - excellent
Lucky Palace moved to the race track in Haughton. I don't know if quality has remained the same but it was great when it was in the seedy-arse motel in Bossier where you could eat and watch hookers and johns play the oldest game of hide-and-seek.
Koi
Superior Steakhouse or Grill
St. Laurent is very good pizza

Beware of Marilynn's Place. The last time I went in there, I swore it would be my last time ever. Place was so gross. I know they "closed for a while" and heard it was health issues. Could be a filthy rumor, but it wouldn't be as filthy as the bathroom or dining area. Also, they don't bake the poboy bread long enough. They started off decent but quality started dropping and then went beyond the pale. The owner is a good guy so I don't know what happened. Restaurants are hard.

The BBQ is below mediocre. Bodacious is wack. TVs are on weird advertising channels or oddball sports, it's too bright in there, service is slow and the food is meh af. Silver Star is better but that is a low bar.

Looosiana Bistreaux inside Red River Billiards has the best Poboys in Shreveport/Bossier. He moved from south Shreveport to the Bossier side right by the Brookshire's arena.

As a Baton Rouge native who has lived in Shreveport/Bossier since '97....Looosiana has the best poboys I've ever had in this area and I've tried them all.

The dude that own's the place is a Morvant from Thibodeaux. His poboys, jambalaya, fish tacos and the "Boudreaux" burger were my go to items when he was off Wallace Lake Rd.

Boz sold and it has new owners now. They cleaned up the whole restaurant and revamped the menu.

I have yet to go back (they just reopened this week), but maybe give it another shot.

I am not from Shreveport and will probably be downvoted for this but when I am there I always make it a point to eat at Ernest's Orleans.
