The U.S. and Iran both claimed victory after reaching the agreement, and world leaders expressed relief, even as more drones and missiles hit Iran and Gulf Arab countries. Israel intensified its attacks in Lebanon, hitting several commercial and residential areas in Beirut without warning. At least 112 people were killed and hundreds were wounded in one of the deadliest days in the latest Israel-Hezbollah war.

I've seen other sources claim today's death toll is north of 250

AP

Israel claims Lebanon wasn't part of the cease fire agreement. Iran claims otherwise.

Who knows. Any notions of peace in the middle east are just pure delusions at this point.

Why would Lebanon be part of a ceasefire agreement with Iran?

Israel is fighting Hezbollah, an Iranian proxy non-state military, in Lebanon.

The people migrate across the river closer to Israel because they can squat freely. They can squat because if a fcking battlefield. And its made that way because they squat and hezbaby moves in using them for cover.

If they stopped fcking squatting on a battlefield they would not be displaced or killed.

The only time there is any semblance of rest from war and aggression over there is when everyone is held in check by desert sheiks and tribal warlords instead of any attempt at a Western style of government. The region still has the mentality of camel-riding goat herders that have hit the lottery and have no idea how to spend the money on real improvements.

There will never be peace in that region of the world. It's built on turmoil like a dysfunctional family at Thanksgiving dinner. Hopefully, once we get done with our involvement in the latest episode of violence over there we can take a step back and re-assess what our national policy should be going forward in regard to the region.

That doesn't answer my question.

Do you really think Iran wants us to start holding them responsible for everything Hezbollah does?

Iran wants it both ways. When Israel attacks Hezbollah, they want Israel to be held accountable for breaking the ceasefire. When Hezbollah attacks Israel, Iran will claim that there is no connection between them, so they didn’t break the ceasefire.

Hezbollah combatants are approximately .76% of Lebanon’s total population, some where around 25-35K of them.

Lebanon is home to a Christian population of approximately 2 million people.

Lebanon isn’t a nation full of hostile Islamic terrorists. They are truly the ones who are getting fricked over in all of this.
