Republican Clay Fuller defeated Democrat Shawn Harris for the seat left vacant when former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene resigned earlier this year, NBC News projects. Fuller, a prosecutor, won support from President Donald Trump during the all-party primary, advancing to the runoff against Harris, a retired brigadier general. Republicans won about 60% of the total vote during the first round in March.

Not sure anyone said that, but didn't the new candidate win the district by 15 when MTG won by 30?
Is that a trend? Good or bad?

Fake news trying to generate inertia for the dems. Glad GOP voters turned out and showed their strength.

You cannot have a legitimate discussion with someone who thinks in binary terms. In their eyes either you won or you lost.
It’s like LSU being a 45 point favorite against ULM, winning by 7 and then people turning around and saying to people who have concerns about the team “You guys were worried about this team? Idiots. We won.”

Great analogy.

All it takes is for republicans to not show up. Look at Virginia. Freedom took a huge hit there from low turnout

if someone said that seat would turn blue, they either are dumb or never have been to that area. That seat will always be red just like a seat in NYC will always be blue

Whoever said that had no clue what they are talking about. That district is heavy white and heavy baw. Especially north of Rome.

All the MSNBC libs were excitedly watching that race last night thinking it was going blue... and therefore a rebuke of MAGA/Trump.
Nope.

Uh... He won. By 15 points. That's not bad.

So, in TDS math... a 15 point win is a loss? Got it.

That was a terrible analogy.

The GOP candidate was terrible plus Schumer played the shutdown perfectly. VA has a lot of government employees.

They were legit trying to push that. Someone on here was trying to make the same argument a few weeks ago. I don’t remember who it was, because it wasn’t worth paying attention to.
