Their negotiations tactic is to keep pushing it down the road, so yeah no trusting them. Reason why they wanted to the last minute

The administration claims it has already achieved the goals for the operation, so if Israel does something to cause it to fall apart, I'd be all for leaving them there by themselves to fight the rest of it out until they got tired of it.
In other words that only works if we let it, which I would hope we wouldn't.
