The last 3 times lsu hired a P4 coach; they won a national title:

Saban from Mich st
Les from Okie st
O from Ole Miss

Brian Kelly never had p4 experience as a HC until lsu, and didn’t work out

But now lsu has returned to the formula. After having an all time great historical season with ole Miss’ worst HC ever they just hired the best ole Miss HC

And the gumps, Vols and gaggies are in shambles at the ceiling he has in this era!

Not sure where you are getting your information. But most SEC fan bases think they are going to win each year. Hell even Vandy thinks they can win. Arkansas is probably the only SEC fan base worried and they aren't just worried about LSU.

based on the countless threads bama,
Georgia and Aggy fans make every day about LK and lsu

Florida fans also worried since we hired another sun belt coach for the 20th time while the UAA tries to force feed the fans hype kool aid

They worry about a 7-6 team?

I know Notre Dame technically isn't a "P4 team" but that's a pretty big asterisk

SEC fanbases are scared because we finally have a great coach that knows the game and is hungry to win

Notre Dame is considered a P4 school even though it is not in a P4 conference.

LSU also hired a P4 coach before Saban, who did not finish very well.

Plus he was at Cincinnati when they were in the Big East, which was an AQ conference.

good point, but in the 21st century the hires have followed this pattern

This is being ridiculously pedantic. ND might not officially be in one of the conferences but they're at the exact same level.

Big East might have been AQ but they were a glorified mid-major by this point

Brian Kelly's experience was greater than most P4 schools would have given him.

So okie state is P4 and Notre Dane is not. Les and Nick both had worse win loss percentage than Kelly. The only problem with Kelly was he was too old and had too much money guaranteed innhis contract to have any incentive to perform. Also times had changed for Kelly. Our recruiting advantage was all but gone.

There are problems with every hire....you never know how a coach will pan out at which school.
