I'd like to see a movie about the year that Sean Payton was suspended from the NFL and how he coached his kids football team.

A Guy Ritchie Sherlock Holmes movie where he solves the LeBron gate spray painting.

Brash young basketball coach pushes the limits of legal recruiting and is fired for it; only to see the league adopt his tactics and return to the same school years later, seemingly in triumph but still bearing the stigma of a cheater.

Hopefully, he wins a national title to go along with his redemption.

Not necessarily "sports" but a Ric Flair bio
Others:
A movie around the bombing at the French soccer game
A Pele movie
A movie about moving the Browns to Baltimore
Rebuilding the Saints culminating with the Home Game with Gleason and the SB win
Olympic village type stuff
Atlanta Bombing
Tiger Woods biopic

Midnight in Indianapolis - While on a trip to Indianapolis with CBS Sports, a melancholy former NFL QB finds himself mysteriously trying to beat an elderly man to death every day at midnight.

The courageous journey or suffering and hardship that Colin Kapernik had to overcome to be a starting quarterback in the NFL.
calm down guys just kidding
The Damar Hamlin kid literally dying on the field would be a pretty good comeback story type movie.

"Burreaux"
The story of Joe Burrow, told from the moment he leaves Ohio State, until the moment he is drafted by the NFL.
Not a Documentary, but a "based on true events" type story, heavily dramatized like Rudy.

I think we're more likely to get the one that starts in the NFL and is his journey to coming out of the closet.

Roberto Duran
I'd like to hear more about his pre fight conditioning (or lack thereof) before the 2nd Sugar Ray Leonard fight.
I had heard that he was so out of shape from living the high life and partying after his first fight with Leonard, that he had to cut 18 pounds just 2 weeks prior to the second fight. I had heard that his camp was in full blown panic mode and there was nothing but a diet of drugs (coke) and chicken soup broth.
Plus the guy was a major bad as$.

Stetson Bennett
Had scholarship offers to play at some smaller schools, but chose to walk-on at UGA, a school he grew up loving.
After a year on the scout team taking abuse from UGA linebackers and defensive linemen, and being told he'd never be able to actually set foot on the field in a real game, he transferred to a juco school (you didn't have to sit out when transferring to/from juco).
Wins a natty at the juco level. UGA offered him a scholarship to transfer back, which he naturally accepted. Again, no sit-out rule because juco.
He's back on the scout team again, but at least he's on scholarship. UGA's quarterback room is in flux after Justin Fields transferred out and Jake Fromm decided for some dumbass reason to enter the NFL draft after his very mediocre junior season. Stet got more practice rotations with the starters at this point, but still never won the starting job.
In 2020, Dwan Mathis was named the starter. He sucked, so Stetson Bennett got to play a few games until transfer 5 star JT Daniels was healthy. Then JT took over and looked fantastic to close out the season.
2021- The starter is listed as JT Daniels. #2 is Carson Beck. Bennet is named #3. In the first game, JT Daniels gets hurt again. But instead of Carson Beck going in, the coaches call Bennet's number for some reason. Stetson goes in, and shreds. All the fans were focused in JT's injury and recovery, they didn't want Stetson to be the quarterback. If JT can't play, then put in the new hot shite kid Carson Beck that we flipped from Saban so he can at least get some experience if we're just going to waste the season. Despite winning game after game after game, he never got the love he deserved because at any minute, most fans thought, JT would be ready again. The coaches knew better than the idiot fans. JT never saw the field at UGA again and transferred out after Stetson and a historic defense won UGA's first national championship in 41 years.
2022- Many fans felt and expressed the opinion that we won despite Stetson Bennett, and they wanted him to move on, sell insurance or something. Because he certainly wasn't NFL material, they said. They wanted to see some Carson Beck. He was the shiny QB. Stetson stuck around, thankfully, and UGA repeated as national champions.
After that season, his eligibility was over, and he entered the NFL draft. He wasn't on many draft board mocks. He was drafted in the 4th round by the LA Rams to begin tutelage under fellow UGA Bulldog Matthew Stafford.
It became known shortly after that Stafford had a drinking problem. This could also be interwoven into the plot while he was still at UGA, harkening back to some strange behavior at one of the post-NC parades in Athens.
How you wrap up the movie, not sure, as he went through treatment and the Rams supported him the whole way and he's still on the roster in 2026 (as of this posting).

Levi Wallace has a great story.
From Arizona, received basically no scholarship offers because he was too small.
Went to Alabama because his dad was from that area, and he was a Bama fan.
Played intramural flag football his freshman year.
Almost left Bama because his dad had ALS and was in poor health. Dad convinced him to stay and try-out as a walk-on.
Was granted a walk-on spot in 2014, and spent first two years on scout-team.
Dad succumbed to ALS in 2014.
Earned a scholarship in 2016, and played special teams and backup cornerback.
Earned a starting spot at cornerback on Bama's 2017 NC team, while leading the team in INTs and PBUs, and allowed an FBS-best 5.1 passer rating when targeted.
Went undrafted but eventually became a starter in the NFL.

The redemption of John Shuster and path to gold would make an amazing curling movie.
