One James Bond movie in the last 11 years

You don’t want current Hollywood making Bond films. Did you see No Time To Die? It’s the worst Bond movie ever made.

Big fan of his, I even loved Blade Runner, but the Chani situation in Dune is very suspect.

At some point, you have to just stop and make something new.

They can downvote you all they want but you are correct. The tears bullshite has me worried also her being angry with what Paul is doing. Big change from the book.

I think they are going to go whole hog in the religion is evil. Messiahs are evil and I think it will completely deviate from Dune Messiah and Children of Dune. I don't know what the final script looks like but originally they said it would take parts from book 2 and 3.

Seems like all of the movies skipped Paul's first son in the plot. Actually looking it up, it appears the Sci-Fi network miniseries did depict his first son.

Not sure where it’s headed and you’re probably right, I’m just living in denial but her character being changed and eating up so much of the story they had to cut Thufir’s scenes and Count Fenring’s scenes which shrunk the scale of the movie and the normies now have zero clue about CHOAM, the Landsraad, the Guild or any of how this civilization operates. And he did so to make Chani a warrior which defeats the whole purpose of her character which is to ground Paul and keep his humanity. I’m not even going to get into all the stupidity with her character but it throws a big wrench into the story for no apparent reason. It also forced them to rush the ending of 2 which was a universal complaint.
