“We’re doing things that have never been done. When you see a confident black man, talking his talk & walking his walk, coaching 75% African Americans in the locker room, that’s kind of threatening; they don’t like that”

Coaching them to 6-6 in one of the weaker conferences in the country.

Eddie Robinson did this exact same thing, with class, for generations without rappers having to show up at the practices.

Threatened by a bunch of black people in sports? This isn't 1954, Neon Deon.

Arrogance and Confidence are 2 different things... Your team sucked last year Deion and will again this year. No one gives a crap what color you are.

Black athletes, celebrities in general, would be taken more genuinely if everything in their lives wasnt propped up by a perceived slight or threat due to them being black. Its like they hand out cue cards to them all. You can't take anything they say seriously once they go down that road. They need to lose the crutch.
Majoratively, no is threatened by, trying to hold back or generally gives a damn about blacks being black these days unless youre in the hood or encounter a large group of them. Thats just logic based on statistics. Survival some would say. Deion Sanders and his average Colorodo team dont even register to most people until he starts talking nonsense. Seeking attention he cant garner on his merits as a coach or a program. Disingenuity defined.

Surprise, surprise. Things start going poorly and he immediately plays the race card.

Edit:

Now I feel dumb realizing this is a clip from 2023. Can’t trust anything you see on the internet these days.

Still was stupid to play the race card even back then

I just call it the racism schtick now. It can’t be taken seriously by anyone except those crippled by white guilt.

I can't think of a single benefit that I get from blacks struggling or being dysfunctional. I can think of a shite ton of negatives, but absolutely no positives.

Absolutely no one is afraid of, or impressed by, successful black athletes. In fact, the culture has become rather boring and predictable (see NBA ratings).

How old is that clip? Colorado hasn’t been in the PAC 12 since the 2023 season.
