16 parade participants hurt after vehicle slammed into crowd in New Iberia

NEW IBERIA, La. (WAFB) - Emergency crews are responding to a scene in New Iberia after a driver slammed into a crowd during a parade, Acadian Ambulance confirmed.
The call came out around 2:40 p.m. on Saturday, April 4.
The crowd was gathered for a parade near Captain Cade and Meloncon Road in New Iberia.
There are at least 12 victims, four of them critical, according to Acadian.
Acadian reports that at least seven ambulances were called to the scene, and one Air Med helicopter.
