“I got a letter from a man the other day, and I'll share it with you. This man said you can go to live in Turkey, but you can't become a Turk. You can go to live in Japan, but you cannot become Japanese -- or Germany or France -- and named all the others. But he said anyone from any corner of the world can come to America and become an American.”

Not sure how you lay that at the feet of Reagan, because just look around at Europe. A lot has changed in the last 40 to 50 years.

Reagan isn't wrong.
If that person WANTS to, they could become an American and embrace the culture. People like Reagan would have encouraged that.
Problem is, you now have politicians like Biden, Harris, Pelosi, etc, that encourage these people to come to America, hate it, and drain it of all of its resources. Hell, they don't just encourage foreigners to do this, they also encourage their fellow Americans to do this.
A lot has changed in 40 years, and most for the worst. The net negative I can trace back to Reagan is the war on drugs and round one of immigration. If you would have told me 40 years ago we would have democrats like the squad, I would have never believed it.

But these days the people coming to America are not intending to become Americans.
They are coming to colonize America.

Reagan was a speed-bump
He was correct at heart but just a nuisance to the banker/globalist agenda in the long run
The USA has long been a piggy bank for the world and multinational corporations to abuse at the taxpayers' expense
We all see it NOW. And some saw it then, but they weren't strong enough to stop it

Amnesty and out of control illegal immigration, which directly resulted in CA's permanent flip to Dem and the host of other ills they cause.
1986 Tax Reform package that gutted commercial real estate and precipitated the S & L collapse.
And I loved Reagan.

He forever turned California blue with blanket amnesty

Exactly, and Reagan is the one who demographically nuked us with his amnesty bill.

Man, you know you can't slander Boomer God Ronnie Reagan like that.
Hart Cellar doomed us and Ronnie helped drive some nails into that coffin.
His gun restrictions threw some dirt on the coffin.

Do any of you know what was negotiated with this so called "blanket amnesty"????????????
Tip ONeill agreed to 3 million amnesty with Reagan, in return we would get the borders in control. Reagan trusted Tip to be a man of his word not a fckin whore.
Any of you today would trade off 3 million in hopes that the last 50 million would have not been allowed in.
The blame is Tip's and Tip's alone that fat piece of shat.
