Birthright citizenship exposes leftist hypocrisy once more.

The Left on the 14th Amendment: “Well the 14th Amendment doesn’t specifically mention illegal immigrants having children on American soil so it’s allowed. Sorry, but that’s how it’s written, regardless of their intent.”
The Left on the 2nd Amendment: “The framers didn’t envision fully automatic assault rifles or semiautomatic pistols and high capacity magazines! They didn’t intend to legalize weapons of war for regular citizens! There has to be limitations on these rights! It was intended only for state militias and not individuals, despite the ‘shall not be infringed’ thingy.”

You kinda self-owned here as well…you realize that, don’t you?
Both sides are generally hypocritical.

14th is pretty clear. Just amend it.

When our forefather wrote the constitution they didn't foresee every country in the world doing everything they can to take advantage of our laws written for the American People.

He means you have people here advocating for limitations on the 14th. Do you not see the self own?

The limitations we are supporting were supported by the people who wrote the 14th.
If you can find one of the writers of the 2nd amendment that says only certain firearms are allowed, then post it. That's the only way your argument makes any sense whatsoever.

This part!!! Our own laws are being used to destroy us.

Except the 2nd amendment currently faces a ton of restrictions

Shall we go back to writing with quill and parchment and using a horseback carrier to deliver our posts instead of hitting "submit" on TigerDroppings?
The only "self-own" was possibly the juxtaposition of the OP itself. The issues of what is expressly written as law into the US Constitution are ALL completely separate from the Second Amendment, with its only explicit purpose being that its intent is to prevent the government from infringing upon the inherent right to own and bears arms.
Not that it matters, because the Second Amendment has already been infringed almost beyond recognition. But that's neither here nor there.

It is 100% true that leftists are hypocritical but it's also true that the way to change birthright citizenship is to amend the constitution and not just interpret it differently. I don't want activist judges having the power to just "interpret" shite any which way they want.
It's also why any and all restrictions on the 2nd amendment should be gone yesterday. I agree, though, that if leftists had even an ounce of integrity that they claim to have regarding the constitution, they should be right there next to us kicking and sreaming for the rollback of restrictions on the 2nd amendment. But, they won't because they don't actually have ethics or morals.

Jackson: "How does this work? Are you suggesting that when a baby is born, people have to have documents determining a newborn child is a citizen of the United States?... Are we bringing in pregnant women for depositions?"

It is only hypocritical when one is limited, and the other isn't.
Either the text says what it says, and we abide by it, or we accept limits as necessary.
The rights guaranteed by the 2nd Amendment have already been limited.
The hypocrisy is to insist there should be no limits on birthright citizenship because the text doesn't allow it, while also insisting that shall not be infringed doesn't actually mean what it says.

I wonder how many framers were only Americans because their immigrant mothers gave birth to them on American soil.
