Not a good look for LA Senate Candidate Julia Letlow

Fox News Julia Letlow DEI Record
Not a good look for Letlow - Trump really missed the mark with this endorsement.
quote:
In a 2020 video from Letlow's hiring process, when interviewing to be the president of the University of Louisiana Monroe, Letlow called the school’s record on faculty gender diversity "shameful," praised DEI efforts around the country, said she wanted to open the school's first DEI division and suggested that, if hired, she would want "a person around the table that is cognizant and fighting for diversity, equity and inclusion before any decision is made for the university."
quote:
"I was able to go to eight different universities and see some amazing work that other universities have already started – and you don't even have to keep it to Louisiana, you can go nationwide to see the amazing effort people have been doing for years to address these issues," Letlow told a panel interviewing her for the UL—Monroe presidency in 2020, in response to a question concerning the percentage of tenured female faculty. "So, one of the first things I would do – I believe we need a division on this campus, a division of diversity, equity and inclusion, with leadership that goes all the way to the top with a full staff because our issues are so great."

Not a good look for sure.
I’ll never vote for Cassidy.

Agreed. He should've endorsed the guy who voted to impeach and convict him.
Where do you clowns come from?

Louisiana can’t do any better than a woman?

There's a third choice.

Me either.
And I'm not voting for her either.

I thought Xan was going to run.

So... Fleming? Can't vote for Cassidy.

Was not a fan of her when she was my rep. She or her office never got back to people on issues in a timely manner. Sometimes it was up to 2 months after a legislative issue had already been decided before you would even get the robo form letter saying "I appreciate your input on this matter, etc..."
I feel like she is incredibly lazy and will just do whatever the GOPE tells her to do. Which is exactly what is wrong with the GOP in the current makeup of the Senate. A bunch of lazy do nothings who do the bare minimum so they can keep collecting lobbying checks.
Not surprised at all she is for DEI. She probably got a poll from somewhere that said it was popular and is too damn lazy to see that the majority hates it. Of course women eat that kind of hollow and emotional shite up, so no wonder she is into it.

There are women who would make good leaders in our country.
The problem is those women aren't the fame-seeking, ambitious girl bosses that actually run for political office.

What has Letlow done to deserve her house seat, let alone the senate seat? Her career is in liberal education and riding her dead husbands coattails.
Fleming at least has a track record of standing for something.

I've always wondered who was behind the "Louisiana Freedom Fund" ads that attacked Julia Letlow for her stock dealings. The ads claim the LFF is "not endorsed by any candidate or any candidate's committee." But alas, the truth is a strange mistress...

Why does Cassidy's Leadership Fund show up on the document?
ETA: This isn't a pro-Letlow post...but it's definitely an anti-Cassidy one. The DEI stuff about Letlow should be a concern for the conservative voter.

His choices at the time he made the endorsement:
Julia Letlow
Julie Emerson (who was entering the race only because Letlow hadn’t yet)
Blake Miguez
John Fleming
Bill Cassidy
Eric Skrmetta
President Trump chose to listen to Governor Landry.

I will never vote for a female candidate anyway

Go look at what LFF supports.
They basically check every box including DEI and racial justice.
They are all in bed together off camera.

Yeah, that's the thing...if you go to their website, it's very superficial. The current (?) version only shows links to the Letlow ads, and there's nothing there as far as an "About Us" link. All very shady.
Vive La Louisiane politics!

Fleming is awesome and I don’t understand why we spend all our time talking about these 2 cluckers. John Fleming. Mark it.

She hasn't passed on piece of legislation in her entire time congress, Fleming has done just as much not being there
