With gaming being so stale lately I started my first play through with Odyssey and it’s been a blast. Origins was my fav before giving this one a go.

I go back and forth between those two being my favorite. Bayek is up there with Ezio as my favorite Assassin, but Odyssey is a more fleshed out game and is just gorgeous. I actually love the sailing, which has always been a nuisance with the other games.

I liked Odyssey. Beat it and all the DLC. But they kinda ran that style into the ground
Valhalla sold amazingly well due great timing with the pandemic, but it was an inferior game to Odyssey.
Shadows was not a step up from Valhalla. Story was bland, but it was pretty. Combat was about the same, base mechanics were just annoyingly pointless. Stealth mechanics were slightly better.

I'll go out on a limb here and say Mirage was an overwhelmingly better AC entry than either Shadows or Valhalla

The helmet vision thing is pretty great. it's obviously just a silly joke but I do think it makes a good point on how making games more "immersive" and realistic often times just makes them less fun to play.
It's kind of like a Rick and Morty gag where they bought the most realistic game console ever, Asteroids is just flying around in empty space because 99.99% of space is just empty.
Cloud can't lift his sword, etc.

How would yall rank your top 5 ACs? I've only played 1, 2, and Valhalla. Loved Valhalla because i love Viking shite, but my god was it dense. I got burned out and never finished.
Watched this video the other day of a guy that played all the mainline entries and ranked them as follows:
1. Black Flag
2. Unity
3. AC 2
4. AC 1
5. Syndicate
Cant wait for the black flag remake. Always heard its the best one.
