So the A’s aren’t associated with any city this season? At the beginning of the telecast it said Athletics vs Atlanta Braves

AA dropped the ball. No cap. Or whatever the kids say.

He's let an MVP 1B, gold glove SS, perennial top 3 Cy Young pitcher all walk in FA and traded away two franchise catchers in their pre-arb years... all within the last 5 years.
The only one he tried to replace the outgoing with a player in the same stratosphere talent wise (Olson for Freddie) he gave up the entire farm to do so.
He's not a good GM.

Letting Dansby walk while having no plan to replace him is the one that hurt the most. Dansby was the heartbeat of that team, IMO.
If we hadn't traded Contreras for Murphy, we would have been able to use he or Baldwin to get Crochet. The Contreras for Murphy trade and the domino effect after it will haunt this team for a long time.

Team hasn’t hit much first few games

Where is Steeler/Lexi's dad to tell us he trusts in AA? How does that idiot seem to get banned when the season starts?

Yea, Olson has been good (outside of 2024)….but he’s not Freddie.
I have been saying for the last two seasons that AA has been shitting the fricking bed.

Another inning of shitty ABs from the meat of this lineup (except for Baldwin). Drake is about the only REAL positive in the lineup right now

Yep. I keep waiting for Acuna to do something

Can’t keep counting on Drake to carry the offense. He has a very advanced approach at the plate for as young as he is……but he’s is also handling a staff. The kid needs some help from the rest of this damn lineup

Max Fried received Cy Young votes in 2020 and 2022. That's it as a Brave. He was great for the Braves but he's not going to live up to that contract. Neither is Dansby for that matter. He's got a strict budget to stick to and either of those would have caused major damage to that.
Y'all have to let Freddie go man. Chipper told him if he was serious about staying in Atlanta he should take the Braves offer because if he went to free agency he wouldn't come back. Also warned him "Alex has a job to do" saying he wasn't going to wait around forever. If he waits until Freddie signs with LA to get Matt then the cost goes up even higher than it was.
Now you CAN fault him for doing nothing to try and shore up the rotation this year given all the injuries they had last year.

He received votes in 2021 you buffoon. And hilarious that you left out what he did last year in New York
As for the rest of your retarded diatribe, your reading comprehension sucks, because the whole point of the post you're responding to is that AA failed to replace the dudes he let walk.
No one is pining for those guys to still be Braves, but the expectation is that a GM, who claimed in 2021 that we were in the beginning of a championship window, would at least attempt to not let the roster rot away.
You can keep crying all you want anytime someone says something that questions the almighty genius of your beloved AA, but results are results and it's no secret that we've regressed each of the last three seasons.
That's on him.
Sorry, just how it is.

He did not receive a vote in 2021: LINK

Because he was gone. Why would I include that? The Braves had (correctly) made the decision to move on before he received votes. He's not going to be worth that 8 year contract.
Again we can all blame AA until the cows come home but they are a publicly traded company. They will never spend what other teams are spending no matter who the GM is. Period. And the minute attendance goes down (which is probably going to happen this year with how much they raised season ticket prices this year combined with fan frustration over them not improving the roster) they will absolutely use it as an excuse to try and shed salary.

Can't refute what I said can you? Proved you wrong and now you're butthurt

You didn't prove anyone wrong
You're gaslighting the frick out of what is being said by thinking people are complaining that players are gone.
No, idiot, the problem is that we're not even attempting to replicate the talent.
AA has no idea what he wants to do with the situation he has put himself in
Are we saving money? No, because then why would we be keeping 37 year old Chris Sale and sign Robert Suarez?
Are we trying to win now? No, because why would we be trying to bandaid the most important position on the field (SS) with replacement level players since Dansby walked or completely ignore the starting pitching market after Fried walked?
AA has put this team in some weird arse limbo where we're clearly not good enough to compete for a title, but not bad enough to blow shite up and start over.
It's the worst spot your roster can be in sports. And it's even more magnified because he we're a top 10 payroll team but are steadily regressing each year.
He fricked it.
