There’s just nothing that special about him to warrant moving up for him. That wouldn’t be cheap either.

As it looks, I am not moving up for anyone except Ohio St LBs. Saints need every pick so they can build a young team.

Right. So trade up to 5 for that? If I’m trading to the top 5 for a WR I want his ceiling to be top 3-5 WRs in the league. I don’t think anyone really thinks Tate is that. I’d rather keep the likely 2nd rounder your giving up in this deep draft as we still need a big talent influx,

I haven’t melted over a draft pick in a long time. But if we traded assets to move up to get Tate and Styles fell to 8, I’d be melty.
I’m fine with Tate if he falls to us. But we are in position to take BPA because we have so many needs.

Yeah these are the types of moves chasing players that really crush building a deep sustainable roster when you give too many of those picks away. Those can be your IOL depth, smaller gadget running backs, WR depth, back up linebackers, etc. And they’re cheap.

Pretty good chance at picking Carnell Tate at 8 without even trading up. Would be stupid to trade up.
