Pedro issued new order:
Spain will not make its air space available to any aircraft from any country involved in hostile action against Iran.
This goes along with not allowing the US to utilize military bases where US troops are stationed.
And he reiterated that Spain will not increase defense spending.
Just watched on Fox News but here’s a link to RT:

And he reiterated that Spain will not increase defense spending.
Just watched on Fox News but here’s a link to RT:
quote:
On Monday, Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles said that aircraft taking part in operations against Iran will not be allowed to operate in the country’s airspace, including US jets based in other NATO countries such as the UK or France. Madrid had already barred the use of the jointly operated Rota and Moron de la Frontera bases in southern Spain for strike missions.
quote:
Robles told reporters that Spain would not “participate in or contribute to a war that was initiated unilaterally and against international law,” echoing Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, who branded the US-Israeli campaign an “illegal, reckless and unjust war.”
quote:
Around 15 US KC-135 tanker aircraft have been relocated to bases in France and Germany, Spanish media reported. With Spain’s airspace off-limits, long-range B-52 and B-1 bombers operating from the UK’s Fairford airbase must now fly longer routes, reducing operational efficiency and forcing trade-offs between fuel and payload.
quote:
Spain has been among the most outspoken EU countries in opposing the Iran war, withdrawing its ambassador from Israel and downgrading diplomatic relations.
quote:
Spain says it remains committed to its broader NATO obligations and continues cooperation within the military alliance and the EU on other security issues. US military aircraft can still use Spain’s facilities under existing bilateral agreements for logistics and support for some 80,000 American troops based in Europe.

The Spanish have been massive pussies since the terrorist attacks around 2004.
I don’t think they realize that recent actions won’t change how Muslims feel about Spain overthrowing Andalusia back in the 1400s.

You know I had forgotten about those attacks.
I remember a previous Spanish Prime Minister… Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapamyballsoff… as being terrible. He was leader for around 8 years.

Several of these little EU peon nations need to be reminded of how much they rely on the US for intel. Hell, they have no ability to remain sovereign without US support.
Ironically, this little stunt is proving that they are no longer even necessary for us to conduct a war in the ME.
Yeah, F 'em. Maybe we should bail without securing the Strait. I'm sick to death of these little pariahs giving the US nothing but shite while living in a world made possible by our good will.

We should abandon Europe to the Muslim hordes, kick out those trying to establish here and kick out the UN. Burn the building.

Well she’s got stones but knowing Spanish history of governance I’m positive that they are a fallen nation again. The amount of civil unrest that Spain has experienced in just the last 100 years is staggering let alone its past

Why don’t they have their Air Force try and stop us?

It appears that spain no longer wants to be a NATO member.

I bet Pedro was really upset at the arrest of Maduro too.

He serves as Secretary-General of the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE), a center-left to left-wing social democratic party, which he has led since 2014–2016 and again from 2017 onward. He is also president of the Socialist International since 2022.

Spain has the right to do this.... If they believe it is not in their best interest they have every right to put their country first. AKA kinda of like what MAGA used to believe, America first.

Spain wasn’t with us in WW2 either.
Figures.
This is what I say to them:

The one great thing about this stupid waste of a war is it may kill NATO. Giant gift to Russia, but also good for the USA. Let Europe defend themselves and their Muslim overlords.

It should be a wake up call to the EU populaces that their governments are entirely limp dicked on the global stage.
They can’t outbid Asia for fuel right now and are going to have to turn back to daddy Russia for fuel.
Maybe they’ll realize that catering to green activist communists and pan-humanist socialist demons wasn’t a great idea after all.

Bingo. They know damn well who they’ve allowed to take up residency in their country too. This is all to avoid another round of bombings. Which should kinda tell the average Spaniard what has happened to their country.
