Chase Tyler Band question

Super random I know but I saw a post from them that the girl in their band is moving to Nashville.
Is she going for music? Seems like a big jump to go from singing with the Chase Tyler band to moving to Nashville.
Best of luck if so. The post is full of comments to believe she’s a really good person.

Huh. Sings in a country band. Moves to Nashville, home of Country Music. I dont know really, who knows why?

They are different things depending on the audience.
If they play the Texas Club, they are country. If they play Live after Five they are top 40.
To call them a country band is a stretch.

I recently saw that Chase Tyler is apparently in the Louisiana Music Hall Of Fame, according to a display at the Baton Rouge Airport. Put some respect on his name.

She has a good voice. But the truth is, she’s too large to ever make it as a singer unless she loses some weight.
But, there’s many opportunities to backup sing, bar sing, song write, etc.

Had a local girl come up and sing with us a few years ago. Black girl with hauntingly beautiful vocals. She was obsessed with breaking in country like the Alabama Shakes girl. She moved to Nashville and I don’t think it’s happening
People always wanted her to do Tracey Chapman songs and she hated it and refused. I told her to lean into that, that is where your money is and she just didn’t want to go there. Oh well.
