Like King David? Saul? Joshua? Gideon? The Maccabees? I guess the rules changed after Jesus showed up. Maybe God the Father retroactively took back listening to those guys.

I thought Jesus listened to everyone who called on his name. Sinners and Saints. He evens listens to the the prayers of pedophile Priests a.k.a. - modern day Pharisees.
