If someone tries to deny that Arabs took slaves because they have no descendants in Arab lands, be sure and let them know why that is.

Britain deserves more credit than you are giving it. They deployed the Royal Navy off the coasts of Africa and, at great expense, suppressed the slave trade.

The Civil War wasn’t about slavery until Lincoln (1864) saw his re-election was in jeopardy. His plan was to send the slaves back to Africa. Don’t try to rewrite history to fit your narrative.

One of the biggest slave traders in East Africa was a black man, called Tippu Tip. His estate is now a museum to him in Zanzibar. He also traded ivory and ran plantations and was the personal representative of the Sultan of the Omani Caliphate. He’s still revered as a great man.
